Conference Venue

The Faculty of Economics and Econometrics (FEE), located at the University of Amsterdam (UvA), is proud to have been selected to host the 33rd Annual Conference of EARIE.

The FEE was founded in 1922 and started with 111 students. It now hosts approx. 3,500 students, who follow undergraduate and postgraduate programmes as diverse as: General Economics, Business Economics, Econometrics, Operational Research, Actuarial Science, Business Studies, and Fiscal Economics.

Next to an excellent (inter-)national reputation it has a strong international network concerning research and education programmes. Moreover, it has a top-ten ranking in research when compared to other European Economic Departments.

The university and faculty aim to offer an inspiring and broadly oriented international academic environment. As a result the UvA is one of the major all-round universities. Furthermore, the UvA has a strong link to the local community and society in general.

Its creativity, open-mindedness and constructive criticism is shared by the people of Amsterdam. The city of Amsterdam has a wide variety of cultures.
